Self-empowerment is the process which leads people to exert greater control over their lives. It include’s developing skills that would lead you to influence certain outcomes and produce real results. This should not be confused with the feeling of being self-empowered. You may feel self-empowered from moving speech, but you won’t actually BE empowered unless there is measurable change. Here are a few steps that we at SmartOne use to help us experience self-empowerment.
We’d like to think it’s best to think of self-empowerment as the ability to become aware of our choices, so you have a better understanding of who you want to be. We notice that when people are feeling dis-empowered, they lose sight of what they’re really capable of doing and who they can become. So awareness is important so you can fully understand that there are options. Some of those options might not be attainable right away, but they are there.
SURROUND YOURSELF WITH PEOPLE WHO PULL YOU UP:
There might be outside forces helping you create your dis-empowerment; so always surround yourself with people that want to pull you up and not hold you down. These could be friends, family or even your partner. When you hang around people that don’t support you, this will only create a feeling of inferiority, and you will only see less of yourself.
Whenever you start a new journey, you always need to identify what you need to know in order to get to the end. Don’t stop yourself from taking action; every journey is a process of learning and it’s impossible to know everything before even experiencing it.
